On Saturday we went to a Birthday Party for one of Nathan's friends from his baseball team who's parents actually are friends from high school that I have recently re-connected with! We had a great day..we ended up staying until it got dark because we were having such a great time. I sat and talked with all the moms, Nate played with all the kids and the Dad's chatted in their own corner in the backyard. It was so nice to get out and talk to adults and we really enjoyed ourselves. Lately our lives have been completely taken over by our kids (which I know is totally normal) and we have pretty much lost our social lives at least for the past few years, but now with Nate playing sports we get to watch Nathan have a great time and meet new people and have a great time too!! My mom always told me that some of the best years as parents are when the kids are involved in sports and extracurricular activities and she was right. We have met some really great people and I now look so forward to many more events!! Thanks Carrie and Leonel for a great day :)
On Sunday we got up early and headed out to Hemet to visit Anthony's Grandparents & His Dad and Wife. It was another beautiful sunny day especially in Hemet. Both kids did great in the car and it really made for a nice ride! Nate had so much fun playing outside; he helped Papa Jimmy do some gardening and played baseball with Daddy and his Grandpa's.
We ended the day with a family steak dinner and some more visiting, then it was time to put their kids in their pj's and head home. It was a nice QUIET drive home as you can see :)
I'm so glad you guys had fun on Saturday. We had a blast too and are so glad you guys could make it.
